Austrian Parliament building, which is on the Ringstrasse, is the place where the National Assembly and the Federal Council meet. The Parliament was built between 1873 - 1883 by Theophil van Hansen with the style of a Greek temple as Greece counted as the cradle of democracy. In front of the building there is the fountain with a statue of Pallas Athene, the Greek Goddess of Wisdom. (1902, Karl Kundmann)
